Maxime Vallieres is an electronic music producer and songwriter based in Quebec City, Canada.
Using field recordings as the basis of his practise, Maxime Vallieres explores the relation between an artist’s work in respect to the location and environment in which it is created. As a travelling artist, he seeks to connect with locals to learn about their culture, their heritage and history, and their past, present and future challenges. Soaring guitars, warm analogue synths, textured samples, carefully crafted electronic beats, and improbable collaborations with local and international singers all come together to form rich, groovy, contemplative soundscapes.
